At St. John’s we offer full wraparound care for your child.

Our aim is to provide a wraparound childcare service that is flexible enough to suit the needs of all parents and pupils who use it.

We offer Breakfast club and  after-school to children at our school.

In the clubs we offer opportunities for play and recreation activities that are both fun and challenging.

All our Care Club staff have the following statutory requirements:

• Clear DBS check
• Level 1 Safeguarding Certificate
• Prevent Duty Awareness Training
• First Aid/Paediatric First Aid Certificate

 

Breakfast care club is ran by Mrs H Copeland and Mrs S Meadowcroft.

Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club opens at 7.30am and provides breakfast, drink and activities term time week days.  We also offer a drop off only from 8.30am.

Cost

£5.00 per session or £20 for the whole week.

Siblings attending (same days) £2.50 per session or £10 for the whole week

Children drop off at 8.30am  £1.00 per session

 

After school care club

Afterschool care club is ran by Mrs H Copeland and Mrs N Bennett.

After school care club is open term time, Monday-Friday  3pm-5.45pm activities and snack included in the price.

Cost                                   

 from 3.00pm to 4.30pm  £5.00

Siblings attending (same sessions) £2.50 per session

after 4.30pm   £7.50  Care club closes at 5.45pm

Siblings attending (same sessions) £4.00 per session

 

How to book

In order for our clubs to run efficiently and with the correct staff to pupil ratio we do require the following guidelines to be adhered to:

• The clubs must be booked and paid for in advance through Scopay.

The cut-off time for Breakfast and Care club bookings is midnight 2 days prior to the booking.

• Care club numbers are limited; please book ahead as you will be unable to book if the club is full. 

• Cancellations of bookings must be made by midnight 2 days prior for Breakfast club and Care Club. If you cancel within the correct notice period, your session will be credited for a future booking. Money cannot be credited back to the account if your child does not attend, and you have not informed the office or notice has not been given as stated above.

FAQ’s

 

I have an emergency and need to book my child into care club on the day?

If you have funds available on the account please call the school office who will book you a place manually, if there is availability. There must be funds on the account to book a place.

 

My child attends wraparound care who has a sibling St Margaret Ward Catholic Academy, how will we book a place as this isn’t chargeable?

There is not a code for sibling wraparound at the moment, please email the school office and these will be booked manually. The guidelines above will still apply and need to be adhered to.

My Child attends breakfast club for the full week, does a discount still apply for this?

Yes, you will still qualify for Friday free. Please book your child Monday-Thursday online and we will apply Friday manually in the office (not chargeable to you)
