Charitable Outreach
At St John the Evangelist, we are aware that we are called to act out our faith. Being a Catholic is about showing our love for God by serving others in our daily lives. The Gospel message of 'love one another' is at the core of the life of our school. We strive to actively live out our lives by listening and understanding the teachings of the Gospel. We serve those around us with compassion and love and carry out our own personal discipleship. We play an active part in supporting people locally, nationally and globally. Here are a few of the things that we have done so far this year:
Autumn Term 2024
The charity for our Autumn Term focus was Kidsgrove Foodbank.
Kidsgrove Rotary have been into school and met with the children about their roles in the local community.
Our Head boy and Head girl visited the food bank to drop off all of our donations.
The children have been busy creating Christmas cards for our local care homes and these will be distributed amongst the residents.
The Choir have been to sing carols and Christmas songs as the Hospital to bring some festive cheers in our community.
Spring Term 2025
The charity focus for the Spring Term will be Fr Hudsons.
